Hunter Funeral Home nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Clayton, GA. Was founded by R.E. Cannon in 1929. Lloyd and Helen Hunter acquired in 1969 and changed the name from Cannon to Hunter Funeral Home in 1974. Mr. Hunter held the office of coroner in Rabun County 52 years from 1956 to 2008 which holds the record in the state of Georgia. Hunter Funeral Home is all about serving our community. Our entire staff strives to provide professional and personalized service. Our funeral home has been owned and operated for generations. We offer choices to memorialize your loved ones that give you the memory that you desire.
