Schuyler Hill Funeral Home was established in 1956 by Edward F. Noble and his daughter Margaret B. Noble McQuade in the Throggs Neck section of The Bronx.Edward F. Noble, a retired Pennsylvania Railroad tug boat captain, was also a Licensed New York State Funeral Director in the 1920s. He was a graduate of Renouard Training School for Embalmers.Margaret was one of the first women to be a Licensed Embalmer and Funeral Director in both the States of New Jersey (1933) and New York (1934)In 1970, Margarets son, James E. (Jim) McQuade, became a New York State Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, after graduating both Iona College and American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Directing. Jims wife Kathy also became a New York State Licensed Funeral Director in 1987 after attending SUNY Farmingdale.Jackie McQuade entered the family business becoming a New York State Licensed Funeral Director in 2008, after receiving a Masters Degree in Finance from Iona College and graduating Magna Cum Laude from American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service.In addition to the McQuade family, Russell Rensch and Lee Gray, all New York State Licensed Funeral Directors, are part of the respected staff.
